It's the new school term and I am having fun in some aspects of my teaching... Particularly when my students are able to understand and get the information that I am presenting to them...

I find myself saying... Perhaps I am oversimplifying this topic.... Perhaps I am oversimplifying this subject....  Perhaps...Just perhaps...  Maybe because my students are loving my classes too much.. What can I do?

Happy 2016

The new school term has restarted. The first 2 days were spent in parent meetings, 4th and 5th... This was perhaps the best part of the term so far. An opportunity to meet and speak with parents thus fostering an understanding of students' environment away from school.

Most of the actual teaching days were spent doing revision and allowing students to reassess themselves, readjust and to close off the past term.

Next week the real teaching begins.....

Teachers ae striking tomorrow for better pay... It isn't being met favourable at my school... More of a discouragement to those that want to strike.. For me it is all about choices.

Today was called for a brief talk with the acting/deputy principal concerning a choking incident with a student with another student.

Apparently my disciplinary method of calling the student out was not appreciated as the parent felt it was unprofessional and uncalled for.  Yes... 

In my defense, All I did was just to listen.... And at times that's all that one can do and should do...
